Trying our hands on Siamese fare...
Corn soup. Yucks for this... totally unappealling.
Tossed spicy and sour sauce. This turned out well, with quite a kick..
Green curry chicken. Too much gravy, not enough cream. Its pungent and spicy, with little else. A bummer...
Fruit salad on filament sheets... passable. A good wrap for the disastrous dinner.
Chocolate coated cookies to fill the tummy. At least something decent for the meal...
Ma wanted to "announce" the wedding to the ancestral family before the 100 day anniversary of Grandma's death. We couldn't figure out what was the reason for this, but since the "hand me down" knowledge had meant to be good, Ma decided its better to be ignorant and go along...
And so we went thru the motions (pretty quick and fast), with a little lunch for the family after.
The foodies above were not from the restaurant. We figured the appetizer (peanuts) would be of meagre portions, so some mooncakes were brought along...
This dish was great. The spicy and lime-sour taste worked really well with the vegetables and fish slices.
